Review:
Do we really need another picture book about Gettysburg focusing on today's battlefield with a few quotes thrown in to give us something to read? No. Is this book a waste of paper? Again no because, in fact, it is nicely presented.
"Tell Them All About It, Won't You?" is a collection of 43 photographs taken in various seasons of monuments and landscapes on the battlefield. Each photograph is accompanied by a quotation by a participant with citation and a short description of the image itself. If the reader can think of an image that he or she would include in this book, it is probably here.
The photographer does an excellent job. While the text was easier to produce, its author went through a rather extensive number of books to get the associated quotes.
If you like picture books of today's Gettysburg battlefield this short volume would probably be of interest to you.
