Capt. David Hauser from Roanoke, Virginia and his horse "Garth" of the 2nd Virginia Cavalry, C Company prepare for the late afternoon battle. Capt. Hauser's saddle has a tree (the rawhide base with a wooden frame) dating back to 1861.
