Chambersburg Seminar In Sept. On Lee’s Life, Career
 CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce’s last Civil War seminar of the year will begin on Sept. 24. “Lee: An Examination of One of America’s Great Commanders,” will conclude Sept. 26. Seminar proceeds benefit preservation.

 

Karl Lehr Bequest Benefits Three Preservation Groups
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Thanks to the generosity of late member Karl M. Lehr and the Civil War Round Table of Eastern Pennsylvania, donations totaling $128,000 will be given to three preservation organizations.

 

Trial Likely For Fredericksburg Confederate Monument Case

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Barring out-of-court negotiations, which have been unsuccessful so far, a Fredericksburg Circuit Court judge has cleared the way for a trial over the Sons of Confederate Veterans’ (SCV) lawsuit to prevent the city from moving a monument to a cemetery for 51 Confederate soldiers.

 

Veterans’ Council Asks To Join In Suit

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The veterans’ organization which asked the City of Fredericksburg to order a Confederate monument moved, sparking a lawsuit by the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), has filed a petition to intervene in the court case.

 

Reed’s Bridge Battlefield Ready For 147th Anniversary Event
JACKSONVILLE, Ark. — What started out two years ago as just another preservation idea has turned out to be the most active Civil War battlefield restoration of its kind the state of Arkansas has ever seen, according to Southern Brigade Commander Ron Kelley of the Sons of Confederate Veterans’ Arkansas Division.
