TUNBRIDGE, Vt. — Civil War News Publisher C. Peter Jorgensen died of cancer at his home on Sept. 25 at age 68.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Crowds estimated to be at least 3,000 people lined Franklin’s streets to witness the funeral procession and ceremony honoring an unknown soldier unearthed during construction in what had been a battlefield area of this small town.
Interior Dept. Clears Latschar In One Report, Withholds Second One

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A month after an Interior Department Office of Inspector General report said investigators found no evidence that Gettysburg National Military Park Superintendent John A. Latschar or the Gettysburg Foundation were involved in criminal activity or fraud, the Washington Post disclosed that investigators found pornography on Latschar’s office computer.
County Claims Wal-mart Opponents Lack Standing In Court

ORANGE, Va. – The Orange County Board of Supervisors (BOS) seeks to have a lawsuit regarding its so-called Wilderness Wal-mart decision dismissed. The BOS claims the plaintiffs lack standing.

Philadelphia Museum Aims To Disperse Holding For 3 Years

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Sharon Smith, President and CEO of the Civil War Museum of Philadelphia, sent an email to “Friends of the Civil War Museum” on Sept. 25 summarizing the museum’s board plan to create a new museum and to disperse the collection in the meantime.
Gala D.C. Dinner Nov. 4 To Benefit Commemoration Of Grand Review

Nov. 8 Service To Honor Black Veterans
